Hafla is an Arabic word that means party or a social gathering. In the belly dance community, hafla is used to describe an event where we come to dance socially, and there are usually opportunities to perform.
Do I have to perform?
There is no pressure on anybody to perform.
What should I wear to a hafla?
You can wear what ever you feel comfortable in. It is a party so feel free to dress up if you want to, and why not accessorise with your favourite hip scarf?

Yes you can! Everybody is welcome and it is a great opportunity to share your love of belly dance with your friends and family.
